CAMBODIA OUTREACH

Creative/Media Ministries

Jesus's first disciples spread the Gospel by word of mouth, but with the advent of the digital age, more methods of communication are at our fingertips. Our media department seeks to maximize the use of new media to spread the Word of God as far as technology will reach. Click below to learn more about our creative/media ministries.

Dance Team

Our dance team certainly love to move to express their gratitude and praises to the Lord. Using flags, tambourines and movement to express that 'We have joy, we have fun because of Jesus Christ God's son and we sing, jump and dance, join as one and give Him praise' as locally written song by Pastor Pisit says.

Special performances are choreographed for Youth Outreach and larger evangelistic events. They love learning new styles and have taught their hip hop skills overseas.

Praise Him with tambourine and dance! - Psalm 150:4

Media

The Media department exists to create and produce materials for the churches in the provinces. There are three paid staff for media. Each staff member heads up the departments for Audio, Graphic Design and Video. They create copies of tapes, CD’s and other media productions to be used as resources for NLF and its church plants. Video reports are filmed to send out to supporters and highlight ministries. When donations are given they record and make a follow up video to show the supporters what was done with their donation. They want to be responsible and grateful for what is given to them. They produce all the ads and do any graphic design media related to NLF such as brochures, documents, bulletins, name cards, business cards, flyers, etc.

Their goal is to serve the main events of the church through creating the appropriate media to promote, highlight and facilitate the events as well as produce resources for the churches of Cambodia. They seek to train and raise up more volunteers in this department. They work to raise public awareness of NLF and promote church activities.
Radio Production

At NLF weekend sermons are recorded, edited and cut down to put on the radio program. Part time staff works on production and goes through to pick the best recordings in sound quality. It is then aired on 99.5 Family FM three times a week. The program is 30 minutes long and consists of an intro, Bible verse, one song and a message. Halfway through there is a break of 2-3 minutes where they share information about the church or school and their various programs. To continue there is another Bible verse and then the rest of the message continues. To conclude the program there is an opportunity and prayer to accept Christ.

Thursday and Saturday air new episodes and Sunday features a re-run. The program reaches through Phnom Phen and some surrounding provinces depending on how far the radio waves reach. Many church members tune in for information and church announcements. They have one program, though the station is asking for more.

Their goal is to get the message of Jesus Christ out through media and radio. It is also a great tool to release announcements to church members.

Pastor Pisit Heng occasionally goes to station for interviews and to play live acoustic worship sets. People will call in to talk about worship and ask questions.

Worship

The worship program at New Life Fellowship consists of over 60 volunteers. There are worship leaders, singers, musicians, dancers and technicians in sound, projection and lighting. They serve at the mid week and weekend church services. Teams also play at the Youth Outreach service on Saturday nights. Each branch has a leader that meets with the worship pastor to pray, receive teaching, discuss ways to improve and grow. The top priority is to have the presence of God saturate the services and meetings.

Their goals are for the worship team to have the ability to spend time with God through their giftings, to play effectively and raise up a new generation of Spirit filled worshipers to transform the church and impact the kingdom of Cambodia. There is a six month music school with weekly classes for people who want to be musicians.

Their main events are the "Big Days" Valentine and Christmas Day outreaches where the whole church gathers together and it is broadcast over the radio. As well as the New Life Fellowship of Churches Day in August where all the churches in Cambodia get together.
